YuppTV launches its first small, sleek and Smart TV dongle for South Asians in USA

YuppTV Launches First Streaming Dongle

Atlanta, March 20, 2013: YuppTV, one of the world’s largest Internet TV providers, today announced the launch of its first ‘YuppTV Dongle’ in USA for South Asians away from home.

The YuppTV dongle is a revolutionary device especially for the expatriate Indians who want access to home grown content. It is a small, 1080p, Wi-Fi streaming player which enables Indian expats to watch their favorite Indian TV Channels live, video on demand, TV shows with back to back episodes, Bollywood movies and a wide range of regional movies

This Dongle is connected into the HDMI port of a television set. This feature converts a standard tv set into a smart tv. This allows the viewer to be able to access a variety of content on his television. With YuppTV dongle, users can watch 150+ Indian TV Channels Live or as VOD available in 11 Indian languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, Punjabi, Oriya, Gujarathi and Bhojpuri

YuppTV Dongle has been launched in the USA bundled at no cost to customer for three month six month and yearly subscription packages. The cost is significantly lower than buying a smart tv to access those features.

One of the USPs of the dongle is its portability. Users can now stream video, listen to music, get the latest news or check the latest Facebook feeds at home on their big screen TV. They can also take all of that content on the move by simply carrying the dongle in their pocket, and then plug it into the HDMI port of a TV at their work place or hotel. The dongle also has a memory card slot for sharing videos, photos or music files on the tv screen.

For those wishing to access internet content on their television sets, the YuppTVdongle, like any smart tv offers them access to check emails and surf the internet on their television set itself. The customer can connect on Facebook and Twitter just with the help of the small and sleek YuppTV dongle.

In keeping with its commitment to innovation and accessible content, YuppTV is coming up with 2^nd screen experience for its users. Customers would be able to browse the content on their phone/tablets and play them over Wi-Fi onto their TV screen. Upcoming updates would also enable the consumer to convert old audio systems to smart audio systems by connecting this dongle to it. The customer can play music, photos and videos on legacy audio / video receiver using android phone/tablets or iphone/ipad.

Announcing the launch of the tv Dongle, Mr. Uday Reddy, Founder and CEO of YuppTV, said, “We at YuppTV believe in being at the forefront of the technology space, and this product has the potential to revolutionise the way TV is viewed across the US. YuppTV dongle is easy to use and transforms an ordinary TV into a smart TV. This dongle can be used by people of all generations: youngsters can use it to listen to music or access trendy platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, while the elders in a family can surf any website or watch YuppTV  for news, entertainment and devotional channels. We would be launching second screen experience with future updates very soon and would change the way TV can be watched.

YuppTV launched this device to its loyal customers because of the impact it had with one of the streaming partner’s business decision to tie up exclusively with one the major South Asian TV service provider in USA.

YuppTV Dongle would soon be released globally, with focus on markets like India, UK, Europe, Canada and Australia.
